Swedish Symphonic Metal Band ZORNHEYM premieres “The Opposed” Music Video

Symphonic Extreme Metal act ZORNHEYM, formed by Zorn (Ex- Dark Funeral) has premiered the harrowing music Video of the track “The Opposed” via Metal Injection.
The track was previously released as a single in digital platforms and gained very positive responses from all over the world — with almost 40k play in Spotify —  the track is followed by another single “A Silent God” and it also got strong responses from the listeners.

Zornheym, a Symphonic Extreme Metal band based in Stockholm – founded and led by multi-instrumental mastermind and songwriter Zorn. After parting ways with his former band, he was determined to shake up the traditional Metal meets Symphony approach with his new band Zornheym. Drawing inspirations from the likes of King Diamond, Dissection and Dimmu Borgir; the music contains elements ranging from melodic to crushingly heavy sound portrayed by the wide array of instrumental textures. The band has already come up with two singles — “The Opposed” and “A Silent God” — via Non Serviam Records, both of these tracks have got very strong responses from the listeners.

“The Opposed” is part of Zornheym’s concept that revolves around the horrors of a mental institution and its inmates. Each song also has its own comic strip drawn by the amazing artist Anu Bring (Märvel, Evil-lÿn, Satan’s fall). Now, the band has unleashed the Music Video of this track.

The video tells the story of one of Zornheim’s more violent and strange inmates. A man stricken with a demonic face on the back of his head, hell bent on possessing him for it’s own malevolent purposes. Find out the rest of this tale when you watch the video!

Zorn comments: “Working with Martin has been an absolute honor. He is a perfectionist and really has the eye for telling a story. I think he has captured the essence of prisoner ZH000A27’s agony. Also Bendler has pulled off a hell of performance starring as the main character and Ingela Larsson’s make up is just mind blowing!!!” (Check her out on instagram @ingelaviolamakeup)

Director Martin Strandberg (Sabaton, Shining, Sterbhaus) comments: “I believe that there are few things more satisfying than involving yourself in an ambitious project along with talented, hard working people – and this video has been no exception! It has been an extensive undertaking on many levels, and despite limited time and resources we’ve pulled through with blood, sweat and tears to realize our vision! I’m never really satisfied with any production, always poking for faults and weak spots to learn from – but I’m very proud to say that fulfillment has never felt closer than this time around! It’s really exciting that the time to share this monstrosity with you all is drawing near, and I can only hope that you will enjoy the result half as much as I have making it come true!”
